Noncompliance with Washington’s body piercing laws can lead to legal and financial consequences. The DOL has the authority to issue citations, impose fines, and suspend or revoke licenses for violations, including inadequate sanitation practices or performing piercings on minors without proper consent. Under RCW 18.235.110, penalties can include fines of up to $1,000 per infraction, with repeated offenses resulting in escalating disciplinary actions.

• Avoid caffeine 24 hours before your session. 
• Wear comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being tattooed.

•  Some areas (like ribs, hands, or feet) are more sensitive
• While others (like upper arms or thighs) tend to be more manageable.

You will be given detailed instructions at the time of service. Which will include the following...

• Keep the “second skin” on for the recommended time. 
• Wash gently with the foaming soap given to you at the  time of your appointment, pat dry, dont rub, or scratch and dont forget to use warm water
• Then apply a thin layer of aftercare balm given to you by Apple Moon Tattoo LLC.
• Repeat 2–3 times a day for the first week

Avoid the following:

• Direct sun exposure
• Pools, hot tubs, and lakes
• Tight or dirty clothing
• Picking, peeling, or scratching the tattoo
• Heavy sweating on the area for the first week or two

  Yes! Flaking and itching are part of the healing process.

• Don’t scratch — use a clean hand to lightly tap the area or apply some of the tattoo balm that you received.

 This is normal. It’s called the “tattoo haze” 

• It should clear up once the outer layer of skin fully regenerates (usually in 2–3 weeks). 

Surface healing takes about 7–14 days. 

• Full healing (under the skin) can take 4–6 weeks.
• Avoid swimming, tanning, or scratching during this time.
